Lignum, CLB Schweiz

Holzbau berühren, begreifen, verstehen

On behalf of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA), the CLB Switzerland opens its doors to selected planners, institutional and public clients, and real estate and construction industry professionals. Several times a year, we invite them to visit outstanding multi-storey timber buildings in Switzerland.

Our goal is to raise awareness of timber construction as one of the key solutions for achieving the climate targets for a COâ‚‚-neutral Switzerland by 2050. The use of wood in construction offers enormous ecological advantages: 1 cubic meter of wood can bind up to 1 ton of COâ‚‚. By highlighting the advantages of this sustainable construction method, we aim to help steer the construction industry towards a more climate-friendly future.

At our events, participants gain access to projects that would otherwise not be accessible and gain valuable insights into new technologies and approaches. Clients, planners and operators provide exciting background information on site, while engineers and general contractors are available to answer questions during the tours. Our tours are the ideal opportunity to find out about the latest developments in timber construction and to be inspired by real projects.

Have we sparked your interest? We would be delighted to meet you in person at one of our next “Holzbau berühren... Events”!

If you would like to receive invitations to events directly by email (4 emails per year), please register using the form.

This project was realized with the support of the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU) as part of the Wood Action Plan.
