CLB Schweiz is very proud to have conducted a scientific study on the forestry and timber industry in Central Switzerland for Lignum Holzwirtschaft Zentralschweiz.

This study provides a comprehensive and robust data basis of the wood flows in Central Switzerland, based among other things on a survey of representative companies according to their processed wood quantities, in order to identify needs for action to support the industry.

The aim of the study is to analyse how much wood is processed in the cantons or in the regions in order to create a future basis for decision-making.

During the study, a presentation of CO2 storage (long-lived vs. short-lived products) as well as the current CO2 substitution effect will also be included in the data basis.

The first evaluation of the study is planned for the year 2023.
